This is a random blog that I am writing about, however it needs to be done. On this day I was told I was going to graduate. I was told today that as of right now I am on track to graduate in a couple of weeks. This is something that I have never thought about. Before coming to Muskingum University I never even thought about college. Now look at me now. I am about to be a graduate of Muskingum University. I am about to be graduated with a Criminal Justice Bachelor’s degree. I also will hold two minors as well. The two minors I will hold will be sociology and also political science. This is a big accomplishment for me because I never thought I would be able to accomplish this goal. I hated school more than anything in high school. However I have fought it and won. Another reason why graduating is important to me is because of my mother. My mother passed away this past year and there is nothing more she wanted than for her youngest son to graduate college. Hearing that I will graduate in December is something that is really important to me because of this. Not only is it important for me to do this for my mom, but it is also important for me to do this for myself. This is the best route I could have picked for me to start my life. I have enjoyed all four and a half years here. I had my ups and downs and everything but I persevered. Not only will I be a graduate of Muskingum University, I will also be a part of something even bigger. I am also a part of a fraternity on campus named Ulster. When I joined this frat I knew only a select view people on campus. However after joining I meet so many new people. After these four years I will have brothers for the rest of my life. If I didn’t join this frat I would have never made it through these four years on campus. After graduating here I want to pursue a career in the criminal justice field. I am not sure what job specifically I want to go into, but I do know I want to do something with criminal justice. Whatever comes into my life I am sure I will enjoy. Being here has really set me up for a good future!
What a day!
